Role Description The In-House Healthcare Attorney – Telehealth & Corporate Law at Biohax Medical is a full-time, on-site role based in Miami, FL. This role is responsible for providing legal counsel on telehealth operations, healthcare regulatory compliance, and corporate governance matters across the organization. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing and drafting contracts, policies, and terms of service, advising on HIPAA and data privacy compliance, and supporting licensing and credentialing for digital health services. The attorney will collaborate closely with clinical, operations, and technology teams to assess legal risk, structure compliant business models, and support strategic partnerships and investment activities. Additional responsibilities include monitoring changes in federal and state healthcare laws, guiding risk management initiatives, conducting internal training on legal and compliance topics, and supporting any regulatory filings or audits. Qualifications Licensed attorney in good standing with a U.S. state bar; Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Experience in healthcare law, with a strong focus on telehealth, digital health, and clinical operations. Knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, state privacy laws, and healthcare data protection requirements. Background in corporate law, including contract drafting, corporate governance, and commercial transactions. Ability to interpret and apply federal and state regulations related to medical practice, licensure, reimbursement, and fraud and abuse (e.g., Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law). Strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills, with attention to detail and practical risk assessment. Comfort working cross-functionally with clinical, technical, and business stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement compliance policies, SOPs, and training programs. Prior in-house experience in a healthcare, telehealth, or life sciences organization is preferred.
