Senior Business Analyst

Business Development AnalystThe Business Development Analyst will identify, qualify and secure business opportunities by cultivating and maintaining mutually beneficial business relationships with current and potential customers. This position will work with the BD team to identify, qualify and bid new opportunities within existing and new markets (Dept of Defense, DHS, DOJ) and leverage relationships to develop client and industry information to impact growth.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Operations or Marketing, Master's preferred3-5 years' experience in Sales, Marketing or Business Development requiredExperience with a DOD program preferredProficiency within Microsoft Office 365Must have excellent analytical and research skills- know how to research federal spending trends, procurement announcements and client budgetsUnderstanding of sales process for GOVCON business- for products and services- SHIPLEY training a plusUnderstanding of government contracting vehicles for DOD and DHSExperience with proposals and GSA bids- track record of awards is a plusMust have good organizational skills and the ability to effectively prioritize tasksMust have excellent computer and technical skills and knowledge of report writing softwareMust have good problem solving and decision-making skillsMust have strong leadership and managerial skillsMust have good negotiation and persuasion skillsMust be able to obtain and maintain a Government Security ClearanceU.S. Citizenship is requiredResponsibilitiesIdentify and qualify opportunities in target markets using government systems (SAM, IDIQ sites, OTA sites and client forecast), information services (GOVWIN etc.) and direct client engagement with program managers, contracting and small business officesInitiative to provide research and analysis to support pursuit recommendations (go/no-go)Helps manage growth pipeline with BD staff and PM staffAble to develop and deliver executive level presentations to ATSC leadership and clientsSupport BD/Captures to include proposal support and marketing support for conferences and eventsLeverage use of AI tools to make opportunity research and proposal develop more efficientSupport opportunity identification, qualification and bid for opportunities under existing IDIQ contracts, OTAs, GSA contracts and agency specific contractsRecommend marketing strategies for the purpose of enhancing company salesConduct market research into emerging trends in the industrySupport BD pursuits and captures with the expectation of being promoted into a BD role to lead captures – timing will be based on performanceCreate custom reports and generate standard reports for management and sales staffAnalyze work flows and make recommendations for streamlining or improving the processHelp develop new sales leads for the companyResearch marketing opportunities and communicates to marketing staffContribute to the development and refinement of the company's online presenceLiaise with other department heads on the implementation of the company's strategic and operational plansDevelop, review and report on the business development department's strategy, ensuring the strategic objectives are well understood and executed by the teamAnalyze contract finance and bidding process to optimize awards and profitability- not just bidding based on low cost technically acceptable pricing strategyRegularly attend client meetings, trade shows, conferences etc.Follow up with clients continuously and responding to client enquiriesPrepare business development presentation and Gate Reviews to advance opportunities through the sales evaluation funnelIdentify potential new markets based on research and analysis of budgets, competitors and products/servicesCommunicate with and qualifies sales prospectsAnalyze the capabilities, contracts and products/services of the competition to assist with new business pursuitsPhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentWork is performed in an office settingWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear, and seeMay occasionally be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 25 pounds) during the course of the workdayMust be able to read, write and speak English fluentlyATSC is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
