This role is an integral part of a team which optimizes the flow of materials, while considering the plant's warehouse capacity and inventory targets in order to eliminate potential disruptions in the storage, storage costs and avoiding material scrap (SLOB). This Supply Chain Analyst will be using multiple tools and will be working alongside procurement to ensure all needed materials are available to execute work orders successfully.Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesExecute the development, maintenance, communication, and publication of the Materials Requirements Plans (MRP), including placing orders, confirming deliveries, provide priorities, etc. to ensure that customer requirements are met.Partner with production planning and other departments to ensure business continuity, service, and cost management.Track and provide updates on assigned key performance metrics (KPIs) like Inventory vs goal, service level, production down time and SLOB (Slow and obsolete).Attend production/project meetings to help drive initiatives and reporting.Understand inventory policies and execution with the goal of maximizing customer satisfaction and minimizing costs.Analytical forecast reviews and dashboards management.Provide forecasts and supply demand indicators to vendors and customers on a monthly basis.Generate shortage report, update data, and present to planning team for production adjustments.Participate in new product launches to ensure success of initial production runs.Maintain a collaborative relationship with internal and external stakeholders.Partner with other departments within the organization to build strong relationships and report exceptions that can impact organizational goals and objectives.Ensures that all work activities are performed with attention to the highest standards for quality, safety and compliance with all appropriate legal and food safety requirements and a focus on continuous improvement.Other duties as assigned.Food Safety ResponsibilitiesFollow all relevant food safety rules including SQF, GMPs, and Food DefenseReport any observed food safety violations to ManagementCore BenefitsBasic Life InsuranceShort Term DisabilityLong Term DisabilityPaid Time OffPaid LeaveVoluntary BenefitsMedical InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceLife InsurancePet Insurance401 k (matching)AccidentCritical IllnessWellnessQualificationsEducation and QualificationsBachelor's degree in business, Engineering or Manufacturing related field is highly desirable2-4 years' experience in production planningExcellent communication skillsWorking knowledge of Microsoft OfficeStrong familiarity with ERP and MRP systemsStrong technical aptitude and analytical skills with the ability to assess trends and statistical data/reports.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyAPICS certification strongly preferredPhysical RequirementsCrouching: Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.Standing: Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time.Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; those activities where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and making fine discriminations in sound.Repetitive motions: Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
