Requirements Key Competencies: Skills, Knowledge & Abilities Flexibility to adapt instruction in the moment to meet student needs in an inquiry-driven space. Ability to create and adapt unit and lesson plans using provided curricular resources such as DBQ and Amplify ELA. Willingness to implement accommodations and modifications. Openness to co-plan, co-instruct, and co-assess with diverse learner teacher(s) and other staff to deliver accessible, standards-based instruction to individual students, small groups, and the whole class. Interest in working collaboratively and reflect on own practice to improve instruction for all students. Ability to unpack Common Core Standards. Ability to use a variety of engagement techniques to promote student learning. Commitment to using data and assessment to drive instruction. Willingness to consistently manage student behavior employing school-wide system. Dedication to actively engage parents in educational advocacy for their children.
