Job Opportunity – Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse – North Carolina

Start Date: November 9, 2026
Location: Wilmington, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 36 or 48 hours per week. Patient ratio 1:5-6. Weekend requirement: 12-16 shifts per contract.

• 13-26 week contract opportunities available on a progressive Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit
• 24-hour orientation with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and phlebotomy
• Epic charting system with Pyxis medication management
• Diverse patient population including medical/surgical diagnoses, diabetes management, respiratory conditions, and post-surgical care
• First-time travelers accepted; local candidates welcome
• Up to 7 days of approved time off during contract period

Requirements:

• Current North Carolina or Compact State RN license
• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical/Surgical or Telemetry experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Must successfully pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV insulin protocols, blood product administration, central and peripheral line management, wound care/wound vac, and non-invasive airway management
• Experience with isolation precautions, PCA pumps, heparin protocols, chest tubes, CPAP/BiPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and colostomy/feeding tube care
• Ability to float to other units as needed and work flexible schedules based on unit needs
• Willingness to serve on Storm Team/Hurricane Team and report during catastrophic events or disasters as required
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
