Sanitation Technician

Sanitation TechnicianBridor USA is seeking a dedicated, reliable and experienced Sanitation Technician to join our team in Vineland, NJ. The primary responsibility of this position is to clean and sanitize production equipment, tools, and facilities to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for food production. This role is critical in maintaining product quality and food safety standards. This position will also function as a Housekeeper on their assigned line and shift.Key Responsibilities:Dismantle, clean, and sanitize production equipment, tools, and facilities using appropriate chemicals and toolsEnsure that all cleaning and sanitation tasks comply with established proceduresWash and sanitize various parts and tools within the sanitation areaUse the appropriate chemicals and cleaning agents for different areas of the facilityClean plant workspaces, including areas between production lines, storage areas, warehouses, sanitation zones, and assigned line housekeeping areasMaintain cleaning tools and sanitation equipment (scrubbers, vacuum cleaners, etc.)Perform housekeeping duties on assigned production line and shiftInstruct plant workers on the proper chemicals to use during plant shutdownsAdvise plant workers on required personal protective equipment (PPE) when using chemicalsEnsure correct concentrations of cleaning chemicals and sanitizers are usedOperate motorized equipment to clean plant floorsParticipate in training and mentoring new employeesFollow all facility rules and procedures, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and safety protocolsComplete tasks as directed by the Sanitation Supervisor, Production Supervisor, or Quality SupervisorJob Requirements:Interpersonal Skills:Ability to work independently as well as part of a teamPunctual and reliable for scheduled job assignmentsStrong initiative and organizational skillsTechnical Skills:Knowledge of and adherence to safety, health, environmental, and company rulesUnderstanding of and ability to follow GMPs and HACCP standardsFamiliarity with BRC requirementsKnowledge & Other Requirements:Ability to read, write, and count in Spanish; English is a plusKnowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and the ability to read themAbility to handle and use chemicals safelyAbility to move/transport boxes weighing up to 40 poundsAttention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasksAbility to work in noisy and cold environments, and environments with flourAbility to work in confined spaces at varying temperatures, both hot and cold, to complete cleaning assignmentsAbility to ascend/descend ladders and stairs for cleaning assignmentsEducation/Experience:High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not requiredPrevious experience in sanitation and chemical handling is a mustWorking Conditions:Location: Onsite at 2260 Industrial Way, Vineland, NJ 08360Work Schedule: Must be available for any 3-day shift rotation (example: Monday–Wednesday or Thursday–Sunday), day or night shift, depending on production needsWork Hours: 36–48 hour work week, 12-hour shifts as required by production schedulePay Rate: $23.50 per hourAvailability Requirement:Must be available for any 3-day shift schedule (including weekend rotations), either day or night shift, depending on production and line requirements
