Job Title

Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Ambulatory OR)

Location

Charleston, SC

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 4x10-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM) or 3x12-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM) | No weekends | No on-call required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct perioperative nursing care to patients within an ambulatory operating room setting
• Support surgical procedures across a 9-OR facility, with potential to float within the perioperative department as needed
• Complete cases as required, including one late shift per four-week period
• May be required to precept care team members in the operating room
• Participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June through November)

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN License or Compact Nursing License (SC license must be active prior to start)
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum of 2 years of operating room experience
• Radiation badge required (must be provided by employing agency)
• No first-time travelers accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in one or more surgical specialties: Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, ENT, GYN, GU, Endocrine, or Surgical Oncology
• Prior travel nursing experience in a perioperative setting
