Propel Clinical

Propel Clinical Speech-Language Pathologist K–12 Speech-Language Pathologist Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Reports To: Director of Special Education / Building Principal Employment Type: Full-Time **Experience Level: Clinical Fellow (CF) to Experienced — New Graduates Welcome** About Propel Clinical Propel Clinical is a healthcare organization founded in partnership with a leading academic health system. Our mission is simple: help clinicians step into the roles they actually want, and lift up the next generation of clinicians coming behind them. Medicine is hard enough. The training is long, the days are heavy, and too many talented clinicians end up somewhere that just doesn’t fit. We’re the partner that clears the friction — credentialing, paperwork, logistics — so your energy goes where it should: the patients and students who need you. We’re small enough that you’ll reach a real decision-maker instead of a call center, and we treat the people we place like professionals, not line items on an invoice. Today, that mission includes bringing dedicated clinical support into K–12 schools, where the need is urgent and the impact is real. Whether you’re an established clinician chasing the right fit or an aspiring one building toward it, we’re in your corner — because the work is hard enough already. You deserve to do it with a great company. What We Offer Clinical Fellowship support — we pair you with a CCC-SLP mentor and arrange your CF supervision, so you can complete your fellowship without scrambling to find a mentor on your own. We handle the friction — credentialing, paperwork, and logistics — so your energy goes to the patients and students who need you. Direct access to a real decision-maker on our team, never a call center. Position Summary The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) provides assessment, intervention, and consultation services to students with communication disorders that may impact educational performance. The SLP collaborates with teachers, families, administrators, and other support staff to develop and implement individualized programs that support students’ communication skills and academic success in a K–12 educational setting. Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including evaluation reports, progress notes, and service records. Collaborate with teachers, parents/guardians, administrators, and related service providers to support student success. Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate. Assist in identifying students who may require speech-language services. Support compliance with federal, state, and district special education regulations and policies. Attend staff meetings, IEP meetings, professional development activities, and other required school functions. Promote positive communication skills and inclusive educational practices within the school environment. Qualifications Required Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Eligibility for state licensure and/or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Eligibility for a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship (CF) status, as applicable. Knowledge of speech and language development and communication disorders. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Preferred Previous clinical, internship, practicum, or student teaching experience in educational settings. Familiarity with special education processes and IEP development. Experience working with children and adolescents from diverse backgrounds. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to assess and treat a variety of communication disorders. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and maintain accurate records. Commitment to supporting diverse student needs and promoting educational equity. Working Conditions Work is performed in a school environment serving students in grades K–12. Requires frequent interaction with students, staff, families, and community partners. May involve travel between school sites within the district. Services may be delivered in person or via teletherapy, depending on district needs and student fit. Physical Requirements Ability to move throughout school buildings and classrooms. Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift materials typically associated with educational settings. Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families.
