Bankruptcy Litigation Associate Attorney - Seattle Salary: $250,000 - $330,000 per year Location: Seattle, WA Posted: August 29 2026 Relocation Assistance: Not Available BANKRUPTCY LITIGATION ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY Bankruptcy & Creditors' Rights Practice Group Location: Seattle, WA A prestigious AmLaw 100 firm is seeking a skilled and driven Associate Attorney to join its highly-regarded Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights Litigation Practice Group . This is an exceptional opportunity to work with a highly respected team representing lenders, creditors, landlords, and debtors in complex restructuring, insolvency, and bankruptcy matters. The practice encompasses both litigation and transactional restructuring work, providing attorneys with exposure to a broad range of distressed situations, enforcement actions, workouts, and bankruptcy proceedings. Candidate Profile JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record . Active Bar Admission in Washington , in good standing (or eligibility to waive into Washington); admission in Oregon and/or California is a plus 4-8 years of substantive experience representing parties in bankruptcy proceedings, restructuring, creditors' rights litigation, or insolvency-related matters Experience handling loan workouts, loan enforcement actions, receiverships, foreclosures, and related insolvency litigation Bankruptcy & Restructuring Expertise : Demonstrated experience with complex corporate restructurings, including both debtor and creditor representations in Chapter 11, Chapter 15 and Chapter 9 municipal insolvency cases . Litigation Experience: Excel in drafting , discovery , motion practice , and court appearances for bankruptcy-related disputes. Additional Transactional Background: Familiarity with distressed asset acquisitions and out-of-court restructurings is a plus . Soft Skills: Excellent writing, research, and interpersonal skills; attention to detail; and sound judgment are essential. Ability to manage multiple complex matters while providing outstanding client service Key Responsibilities Represent lenders, creditors, landlords, debtors, and other stakeholders in bankruptcy, restructuring, and insolvency-related matters Handle loan workout negotiations, restructuring transactions, and distressed asset matters Manage creditors' rights litigation, including l oan enforcement actions, receiverships, and foreclosure proceedings Draft and negotiate workout agreements, restructuring documents, pleadings, motions, and related legal filings Advise clients on insolvency, restructuring, bankruptcy, and risk management strategies Represent clients in corporate restructurings and bankruptcy litigation matters, including Chapter 15 , Chapter 11 and Chapter 9 proceedings . Provide strategic guidance to both creditors and debtors in complex insolvency cases. Assist with acquisitions of distressed assets and corporate workouts , both in and out of court . Draft pleadings , prepare discovery , and manage motion practice in high-stakes litigation. Collaborate closely with partners and clients in a fast-paced, team-driven environment. Why Join Us?
