Security Officer – Residential Community Security New Account Starting July 1, 2026 Security Management Innovation (SMI) is seeking professional, customer‑service‑oriented Security Officers for a new residential security contract beginning July 1, 2026, at Buckley Towers, a premier residential community located in North Miami Beach. This position is ideal for security professionals who possess strong observational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to providing exceptional resident and visitor experiences while maintaining a safe and secure environment. About the Property Buckley Towers is a well‑maintained 16‑story residential community consisting of East and West Towers with 324 residential units. The property offers a combination of classic and modern architecture and is professionally managed by Florida Skyline Management. Residents enjoy spectacular views of Sunny Isles Beach, Aventura, Hollywood, and Fort Lauderdale. Position Summary The Security Officer will be responsible for maintaining the safety and security of residents, guests, vendors, and property assets through proactive security measures, access control procedures, foot patrols, CCTV monitoring, and incident documentation. Applicants must be dependable, professional, and committed to maintaining consistent attendance and punctuality. Officers must be prepared to work 12‑hour shifts while delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism. Compensation $16.00 per hour. Full‑Time and Part‑Time Opportunities Available. Immediate Interviews for Qualified Candidates. Schedule Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM 12‑Hour Shifts Weekend and holiday availability may be required based on operational needs. Candidates must be able to consistently report to work on time and complete their full scheduled shift. Essential Job Functions Access Control Monitor resident and visitor entry points. Verify guest access and visitor authorization. Enforce community access policies and procedures. Provide exceptional customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and management staff. Maintain accurate visitor logs and access records. Foot Patrol Operations Conduct routine patrols of common areas, parking facilities, garages, and property grounds. Identify and report safety hazards, suspicious activity, and security concerns. Maintain a visible security presence throughout the property. Respond appropriately to resident concerns and requests for assistance. CCTV Monitoring Monitor surveillance cameras and security systems. Observe and report unusual activities. Assist with investigations and incident reviews when necessary. Maintain awareness of security trends and unusual patterns. Documentation and Reporting Complete detailed Daily Activity Reports (DARs). Prepare accurate incident reports and written documentation. Maintain logs and security records in accordance with company and client standards. Utilize computer‑based reporting systems and email communications effectively. Emergency Response Respond to emergencies, alarms, medical incidents, and property‑related situations. Follow established emergency procedures and protocols. Coordinate with law enforcement, fire rescue, and emergency personnel when necessary. Remain calm and professional during high‑pressure situations. Minimum Qualifications Valid Florida Security Officer Class D License. Previous security experience preferred. Strong report‑writing skills. Computer literacy and ability to learn security software platforms. Experience monitoring CCTV systems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Professional appearance and demeanor. Reliable transportation. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to work and successfully complete 12‑hour shifts. Core Competencies Attention to detail. Attendance and Performance Expectations Report to work on time for all scheduled shifts. Complete the entirety of their assigned 12‑hour shift unless properly relieved. Notify management promptly of any attendance‑related issues in accordance with company policy. Maintain a dependable attendance record. Demonstrate professionalism and accountability at all times. Excessive absenteeism, tardiness, or failure to complete assigned shifts may result in corrective action up to and including termination of employment.
