Job Description As a Security Officer Screening Specialist in Palm Beach Gardens, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a government location, where you will help monitor entry points, screen visitors and property, and support daily access control operations. You will maintain a visible presence, report security‑related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $19.45 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM Tue 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM Wed 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM Thu 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM Fri 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service by carrying out screening procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location. Screen visitors, staff, and/or personal items in accordance with site procedures, documenting and reporting unusual activity or prohibited items through established protocols. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns to the appropriate personnel when needed. Monitor entry points and help to deter unauthorized access by verifying identification, screening access credentials, and/or directing people to the proper location. Conduct regular and random patrols around designated areas and the perimeter as assigned, remaining aware that working environments and conditions may vary by location. Minimum Requirements: Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security‑related experience, or a college degree in criminal justice. Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED. Be 21+ years of age. Guard card is required. Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred. A state, county, or city issued security professional license is preferred. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
