Security Officer

Job Summary We’re looking for an experienced security officer to monitor premises and protect staff, visitors, clients, and inventory. This is a part‑time position covering weekends (12 hours on Saturday and 12 hours on Sunday). Schedule Part‑time weekend coverage: 12 hours Saturday, 12 hours Sunday. Responsibilities Conduct diligent patrols, maintain strict access control, and monitor equipment. Be visible, courteous, and greet staff, guests, and vendors. Respond immediately to distress calls, alarms, and emergencies. Maintain the company’s reputation with professionalism and legal compliance. Collaborate with other security officers for effective coverage. Check buildings, grounds, and offices for prowlers, damage, or loss. Investigate and report any unusual, suspicious, or extraordinary events. Document and maintain accurate incident records. Assist in screening and assessments across various units as needed. Assist healthcare staff with documentation and aggression control techniques as required. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Valid Florida Driver’s License with 6 points or less in the last five years. Security Class D license is a plus. High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience as a security officer. Helpful, courteous attitude. Certification in first aid, CPR/BLS, and self‑defense. Pass Level2 Background check through DCF and AHCA Clearinghouse.
