Risk Management Analyst

The Risk Management Analyst plays a pivotal role in identifying, assessing, monitoring, and reporting enterprise-wide risks to strengthen and advance our risk management strategy. The analyst evaluates risk events, assesses their business impact, and stays abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes. Partnering with internal stakeholders and leveraging recognized risk models and industry standards, the analyst enhances our risk posture through insightful analysis, comprehensive reporting, and cross-functional collaboration. Responsibilities Collaborate closely with business units to develop and maintain risk profiles, performing ongoing risk monitoring, assessment, and scoring. Facilitate risk assessments, workshops, and stakeholder interviews, including senior leaders. Create clear, comprehensive, and visually meaningful risk reports, dashboards, presentations, and diagrams tailored for varied audiences. Deliver briefings to leadership on risk findings, emerging threats, and mitigation progress. Analyze data to identify patterns, gaps, or emerging risks impacting financial and operational performance. Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of risk mitigation strategies and action plans. Provide guidance to foster a risk‑aware culture across the organization. Participate in internal audits, regulatory examinations, and compliance reviews as needed. Oversee second line of defense activities related to third‑party risk and delegation oversight, aligned with Third Party Management services. Stay current on healthcare regulations, industry trends, and risk management best practices to anticipate and mitigate future risks. Qualifications 2+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with an ability to identify patterns and potential risks. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of translating complex risk concepts into clear, accessible language for diverse audiences. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with risk management software and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) strongly preferred. Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross‑functional teams and senior leadership. Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision. Familiarity with healthcare regulations (e.g., CMS, HIPAA, HEDIS, NAIC) is highly desirable. High ethical standards, integrity, and a proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset. Adaptability and commitment to continuous learning in a dynamic regulatory environment. Demonstrated ability to apply risk management frameworks such as COSO and ISO31000. Salary Information The national base pay range at the end is a good‑faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications.
