We are seeking a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to perform Compensation and Pension Examinations for veterans. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the well-being of those who have served our country. You’ll play a key role in evaluating and documenting medical conditions to assist the VA in determining disability claims.

This position allows you to design your own schedule, with flexibility to work 1 to 3 days per week. All exams will take place at approved facilities equipped with proper tools and internet access.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough Compensation and Pension Examinations for veterans.
• Review digital medical records comprehensively.
• Perform physical assessments based on specific disability claims.
• Submit gathered information through an online portal for VA review.
• Ensure accurate and detailed documentation of findings.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Board Certification :
• State Board-certified Nurse Practitioner (AANP or ANCC).
• Board-Certified Physician Assistant.
• Education : MSN or Master's degree
• Licensure : Valid APRN or PA license.
• Experience : At least 1 year. Prior VA work is ideal.
• Skills :
• Proven experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
• Problem-solving mindset with a compassionate approach.
• Technical Requirements : Must have your own laptop to work.
• Location : Lives within 15 miles driving distance of Anniston, AL with closer proximity required.
