About Oshkosh AeroTech Job Description As an Inventory/Parts Specialist you will be responsible for overseeing procurement and inventory management of materials and parts essential for repair and preventive maintenance operations. This includes evaluating vendor quotes, negotiating purchases, monitoring contract compliance, verifying received materials, and maintaining accurate records in the CMMS system. The role may require operating company vehicles and equipment, adhering to safety protocols, and performing additional tasks as assigned to support operational efficiency. Responsibilities Create and lead processes to ensure materials and parts are available for repairs and preventive maintenance. Evaluate vendor quotes and services to determine the most desirable suppliers. Purchase, order and negotiate materials, equipment, and supplies from vendors. Evaluate and monitor contract performance to ensure compliance and determine need for changes. Examine received materials, verify part numbers, and check for discrepancies such as damaged or unmarked parts. Maintain an inventory database and input parts in the CMMS system. Drive and operate equipment such as golf cart, company vehicles, forklift, etc. Comply with the company safety program and trainings. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent. Valid driver license. Two years of experience in material purchasing or inventory control. Two years of experience in data entry, scheduling workloads, and work orders. Ability to be badged to work in secure areas of an airport. Availability to work day or night shift, including weekends and holidays. Preferred Qualifications Experience with airport operations. Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience with computer maintenance tracking systems. Physical Demands While performing the duties of Inventory/Parts Specialist, the employee is regularly required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close proximity vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or fall objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. Work Environment The work environment is similar to an airport operation with vehicular traffic. The employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, cold, and vibration.
