Intern - Supply Chain

Job Overview: We are currently seeking a highly motivated intern to join our Inventory Control team. This internship is part time role, 24 hours/week and will begin between August 2026 / September 2026 and continue through end of December 2026. This position offers the opportunity to transition to full-time hours during non-school months, with the potential to become a full-time employee based on the individual’s performance and position availability. This role is on-site in Baldwin, NY. Responsibilities Support daily inventory operations, including inventory transactions, stock transfers, receiving activities, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy within the ERP system. Assist with maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting product traceability through proper system documentation. Prepare, organize, and maintain operational reports and supply chain documentation to support day-to-day business activities. Assist with internal coordination between Inventory, Procurement, Logistics, Sales, and Customer Service teams to ensure timely execution of operational activities. Support purchase order administration by maintaining procurement records, monitoring order status, and assisting with supplier documentation. Assist in collecting and analyzing inventory and operational data to identify trends, support replenishment decisions, and improve inventory visibility. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory management, procurement processes, and operational efficiency. Take on increasing responsibility in inventory planning and procurement support as knowledge of products, systems, and business operations develops. Qualifications Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Analytics, or a related field. Logical thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret operational data and identify trends. Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in data entry and documentation. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Comfortable learning new software systems and working with large datasets. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across different departments. Self-motivated, confident and eager to learn in a fast-paced operational environment. Preferred Qualifications Previous internship or project experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics, inventory management, or operations preferred. Experience with ERP systems is a plus. Exposure to inventory planning, demand forecasting, procurement, supplier management, or data analysis through coursework, projects, or internships is preferred. Interest in developing a career in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Operations.
