Position Overview The Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Washington invites applications for two faculty positions at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor, with an anticipated start date of July 2027. The appointment will be for a 12‑month term (3‑year term, renewable at the rank of Assistant Professor) and will be a full‑time faculty position. Compensation and Benefits Base salary ranges are as follows: Assistant Professor: $27,917 – $33,334 per month ($335,004 – $400,008 annually) Associate Professor: $33,334 – $41,667 per month ($400,008 – $500,004 annually) Professor: $35,834 – $50,000 per month ($430,008 – $600,000 annually) These ranges are commensurate with experience and qualifications, and are inclusive of base salary provided through the UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan in addition to the University salary. Incentive compensation may be available through the UWP practice plan. Please see the summary of benefits that may be available: Responsibilities and Expectations The successful candidate will primarily occupy a clinical position with protected time for scholarly activity. The disease‑site specialization will be determined based on departmental needs and the candidate’s interests and will be approved by the Chair. The candidate will be expected to advance the department’s mission of clinical care, research, education, and equity, diversity, and inclusion. Faculty are expected to engage in teaching, research, and service, and are supported by an established mentorship program that encourages professional development. Department Overview UW Medicine and its partner institutions provide an extensive and outstanding array of radiation oncology modalities, including proton therapy, neutron therapy, Gamma Knife radiosurgery, LDR and HDR brachytherapy, IORT, intravascular brachytherapy, and SBRT. The Department of Radiation Oncology treats over 3,500 patients annually and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams across several partner sites. Minimum Qualifications Applicants must have an MD or DO (or foreign equivalent), medical licensure in the state of Washington, and Board Eligibility or Certification in Radiation Oncology with the American Board of Radiology (ABR) (or foreign equivalent).
