We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in designing and developing custom lighting systems. As a key member of the Engineering team, you will lead the design and development efforts to create innovative lighting solutions.

Responsibilities

• Select topology to maximize efficiency, performance, and minimize size and cost.

• Validate concepts through design calculations and simulations.

• Utilize expertise with high voltage and high-power converters/inverters.

• Apply working knowledge of EMI (common mode and differential mode), transformers, semiconductor switches, and various PWM schemes.

• Demonstrate strong experience with modeling using Pspice, PLECS, and Matlab/Simulink.

• Execute schematic capture and high voltage, high-speed PCB layout using Altium Designer.

• Engage in hands-on work in a lab environment.

• Collaborate effectively within a team and communicate ideas clearly.

• Focus on creating the best designs to achieve high-quality products.

• Develop real-world products from concept to production stages.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Electrical Design Engineering.

• Proficiency in Circuit Design and PCB Design using CAD software.

• Experience with Circuit Simulation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Power Electronics and High Voltage.

• Power Supply Design experience.

• Familiarity with Altium Design.

• Knowledge of Constant Current Drivers.

• Experience with LT Spice or PSpice.

Work Environment

The position requires working from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, 100% onsite. You will work primarily in an office setting, with some tasks taking place on the manufacturing floor. Collaboration with the president and Director of Engineering is encouraged, and you will have the opportunity to work within R&D to see products from start to finish.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of DEERFIELD BEACH, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $90.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
