Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities, and associated infrastructure. What you will get to do:The selected engineer will:Perform design trade study implementation.Design and develop key capabilities and performance requirements for the Guidance Computer (GC).Define design and technology maturity constraints of the system in accordance with Customer specifications.Develop thorough definition of system external interfaces. Define system implementation approach and operational concept.Ensure Customer requirements are metEvaluate system performance with Customer.Demonstrate technical skills & organizationDemonstrate a commitment to ethics and integrityBe an effective communicator and problem solver who can develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Possess the ability to operate in a team environment and collaborate across the program as required to accomplish tasks.Basic Qualifications:Systems Engineer (Level 2):Bachelor's degree in STEM with 2 years of experience, 0 years of experience with master’s degree.Must have an active DoD Secret clearance or higher at the time of application. Must have the ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance.Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business need1 year of experience with electronics design and verification1 year of experience defining hardware-software and hardware-hardware interfaces1 year of experience working trade studies1 year of experience reading electrical drawingsPrincipal Systems Engineer (Level 3):Bachelor's degree in STEM with 5 years of related experience, 3 years of related experience with master’s degree, or 1 year of related experience with PhD.Must have an active DoD Secret clearance or higher at the time of application. Must have the ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.   #SentinelSystemsPrimary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
