This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program.What you'll get to do:The selected candidate will clearly demonstrate strong leadership skills and will have a good track record as a self-motivated driven contributor who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.They will have an ability to operate in a team environment and collaborate across multiple functional areas as required to accomplish programmatic and team objectives.The candidate will develop and maintain design review procedures, tools for tracking progress and action items against major milestones, incorporate lessons learned, and facilitate design reviews.Basic Qualifications:This requisition may be filled at either the Principal Systems Engineer level (T-03) or Senior Principal Systems Engineer level (T-04).Principal Systems Engineer: Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of experience with Bachelor's degree, 3 years of experience with Master's degree, 1 year with a PhD.Sr. Principal Systems Engineer: Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 8 Years of related experience; 6 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD.Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.1+ years of experience developing or reviewing requirements within DOORS or similar tool1+ years’ experience in ICBM (MMIII or Sentinel) OR complex aerospace/defense systemsPreferred Qualifications:Background/experience with of the defense acquisition process/phasesExperience developing and executing formal entry/exit criteria for program eventsExperience developing and executing formal Standard operating procedures (SOP) for program eventsLarge scale / complex system development experience across multiple phases of a development program: preliminary design, detailed design, integration and test, verification and sell off, transition to production.Experience with implementing and using model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools, practices, and methods.Strong understanding and broad application of complex engineering systems (engineering standards, configuration management, material review board, process control, tooling, facilities, software, etc.) for the development of complex systems of systems.Strong oral and written communication skills, including demonstrated experience with high value customer presentations, with ability to focus on multiple projects with competing priorities.As a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including: Medical, Dental & Vision coverage 401k Educational Assistance Life Insurance Employee Assistance Programs & Work/Life Solutions Paid Time Off Health & Wellness Resources Employee Discounts This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.#SentinelsystemsPrimary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
