Occupational TherapistThe Occupational Therapist will assess and treat the impact of illness, injury, developmental, or psychological impairments on patients' ability to perform Activities of Daily Living. This role is critical in assisting patients to regain, develop, and learn skills to achieve optimal independence, reduce joint strain, prevent further joint damage, and conserve energy.ResponsibilitiesVerifies physician orders prior to evaluation.Evaluates each patient, incorporating psychological and physical issues to establish goals and plan of care.Administers and directs administration of all Occupational Therapy treatments and modalities.Maintains contact with referring physicians regarding patient progress.Acquires and checks equipment for safety and ensures proper patient communication regarding treatment procedures.ScheduleThis position requires a full-time commitment with a shift from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.Required Experience / Certifications / LicensureDoctorate, Master's, or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy.One year of Occupational Therapy experience preferred.Current New Mexico State License and BLS certification from AHA required.Demonstrated skills in assessment, decision-making, and time management.Strong interpersonal, verbal, written communication, and organizational skills.Why ARMStaffing?At ARMStaffing, we take care of our employees!
