The Patient Care Tech/Medical Receptionist plays an essential role in supporting a small healthcare team by balancing patient care with administrative tasks. This position involves frequent interaction with patients and requires proficiency in medical office procedures and software, including electronic health records (EHR). Reporting to the doctor and billing manager, this role ensures smooth patient flow and accurate medical record management within a small team environment.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and manage appointment scheduling efficiently
• Maintain and update medical records accurately
• Verify patient insurance information and assist with billing
• Provide support and guidance to patients throughout their visit
• Perform general administrative duties to support office operations
• Monitor compliance with healthcare regulations including HIPAA
• Set up and monitor patients during therapies
• Monitor relevant social media channels related to patient care and office communications

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years experience in medical receptionist or patient care technician roles
• Associate degree in healthcare, chiropractic, or related medical field
• Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) management
• Strong skills in patient scheduling and communication
• Customer service orientation and multitasking ability
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards
• Experience with medical billing processes
