Human Resources Coordinator

America’s Community Council is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to strengthen HR policies, programs, and daily people operations in support of ACC employees. Working closely with the Director of Human Resources, this onsite role provides practical HR support and guidance while handling key administrative tasks across recruiting coordination, onboarding, and personnel file maintenance. This position in Troy, MI offers a salary of USD 50,000 per year and is a great fit for someone with foundational HR experience who can manage confidential information with care and accuracy. What you’ll do Complete the new hire and employee background verification process. Maintain confidential filing for personnel and medical files. Update employee personnel records in the HRIS tracking platform. Support recruiting efforts by coordinating advertising and posting processes. Set up interviews with candidates and support new hire orientations. Handle follow-up correspondence with candidates. Prepare orientation and onboarding packages for new hire employees. Assist with updating job descriptions, including drafting, editing, and maintaining job description information. Assist with the annual performance management process. Maintain professional and technical knowledge through educational workshops, professional publications, professional networks, and participation in professional development. Perform other HR or organizational duties as assigned by management. What you bring Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Management, Organizational Management, or a related field (required). 1–3 years of administrative or human resources experience. Basic understanding of HR practices, employment laws, and confidentiality standards. Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding, personnel files, or benefits administration. Experience working in a fast-paced office environment with multiple priorities. Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
