Careerscape is supporting a client opening for a Remote DevOps Engineer.

This role will support infrastructure, deployment pipelines, system reliability, and cloud-based operations for a growing U.S.-based organization.

This is a strong opportunity for a technically skilled professional who enjoys working at the intersection of development and operations. You will help build, maintain, and optimize systems that support software development, deployment, and scalability.

The DevOps Engineer will collaborate with engineering, product, and infrastructure teams to improve system performance, automate workflows, and ensure reliable application delivery.

This role is ideal for candidates interested in DevOps, cloud engineering, infrastructure automation, or site reliability engineering.

Responsibilities

Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines
Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
Automate deployment, monitoring, and system operations
Collaborate with development teams to improve release processes
Monitor system performance, uptime, and reliability
Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues
Implement security best practices and system controls
Manage containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
Maintain infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)
Support scaling and performance optimization initiatives
Document systems, processes, and configurations
Improve operational efficiency through automation

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred
0-2 years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or system administration
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.)
Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, or similar)
Understanding of containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes
Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools (Terraform preferred)
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Strong communication and collaboration skills
