Operations Director - Palm Beach

Summary The Operations Director oversees all operational functions of the Palm Beach boutique, including inventory control, shipping and receiving, maintenance, and back-of-house teams. This role partners with the Managing Director and retail leadership to drive operational efficiency, adhere to P&L budgets, and ensure compliance with company policies. The Director leads hiring, scheduling, training, vendor management, and emergency preparedness to support a high-end client experience. Responsibilities Manage shipping and receiving, inventory control, cycle counts, and stock reconciliations. Oversee back-of-house organization, maintenance, IT/phone system coordination, and vendor relationships. Enforce cash handling procedures, approve supply orders, and work within operational budget guidelines. Supervise operational staff (inventory control, SSA, after-sales, housekeeping, guards), including scheduling, training, timekeeping, and performance management. Coordinate after-sales workflow with craftspeople/tailors, support staff sales events, and assist retail leadership as needed. Plan and execute evacuation drills and ensure emergency response preparedness. Requirements 5+ years of retail management experience in a similar role; luxury environment preferred. Proven shipping and receiving and inventory control experience. Strong computer skills, proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; familiarity with POS and phone systems. Extensive building maintenance experience and vendor management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication, multitasking ability, and collaborative management style.
