Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required. Level 1 Trauma experience required. Experience in sterilization, decontamination, assembly, and wrapping is necessary. Experience with neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, orthopedics, transplant, and GYN cases is preferred. Travel experience required.
License: South Carolina RN License preferred; candidates with a pending license may be considered.
Certifications: CBSPD and/or IAHCSMM/HSPA certifications required.
Must-Have: Candidates must provide all requests for time off at the time of submission. Flexibility to float within the scope to meet facility needs is required. Weekend rotation is mandatory.
Description: The Sterile Processing Tech is responsible for ensuring the proper sterilization and preparation of surgical instruments. The position includes decontaminating, assembling, and wrapping instruments. Candidates should have a strong understanding of sterilization processes and techniques. Experience working in a fast-paced environment is crucial. The candidate will be required to adhere to stringent safety and cleanliness standards. A commitment to quality and attention to detail is essential in this role. Candidates must be prepared to work rotating weekends and holidays as needed. Floating or being switched to different campuses may be required based on departmental needs. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to handle a variety of cases and equipment effectively. Strong communication skills and teamwork are essential for success in this position.
