Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to medical/surgical patients on the unit, following plan of care.
- Assess, monitor, and document vital signs; recognize and respond to changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications and dosages as prescribed; monitor for adverse reactions and effectiveness.
- Develop and update patient care plans; coordinate with the interdisciplinary team for efficient care delivery.
- Communicate patient needs and progress to patients, families, and team members; ensure safe and accurate patient documentation.
- Orient and supervise ancillary personnel (e.g., CNAs) and delegate tasks within the scope of practice.

Requirements
- Availability to work 12-hour night shifts (3 nights per week) as part of a travel assignment.
- Ability to care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations.
- Proficiency in care planning, vital signs assessment, medication administration, and patient documentation.
- Comfort coordinating with CNAs and other clinical staff to deliver coordinated care.
- Adaptability to a hospital med/surg setting and to orientation on unit-specific processes.
