Responsibilities

Position Overview

Participates in Lactation Consulting Services and education while under the supervision of a licensed RN Lactation Educator or a Specialty Lactation Educator to gain clinical hours needed

to be sit for the International Board Certified Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBCLE) exam.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Completed minimum 95 hours of lactation specific didactic coursework (transcripts or certificate).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Must file “Pathway Application” with the IBCLE within 14 days of internship acceptance.
• Must receive Pathway approval with the IBCLE before starting clinical hours.
