Journeyman Machinist / CNC MachinistLocation: Clinton, MAPay: $23-$43/hrSchedule: Mon-Fri 7am-3pmEmployment Type: ContractEastridge is seeking an experienced Journeyman Machinist / CNC Machinist to join a precision manufacturing team. This position is ideal for a well-rounded machinist who is comfortable operating a variety of CNC and manual machine tools, programming CNC equipment, interpreting complex blueprints and engineering drawings, and producing high-quality components to precise specifications. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on machining experience and the ability to work independently while supporting tooling repairs, precision inspections, and production requirements.ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate a variety of machine tools, including CNC machines, mills, lathes, drill presses, EDM equipment, and other manual and power equipment.Program CNC equipment to support efficient production, including lights-out/unattended machining.Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, production diagrams, engineering drawings, and 3D designs.Machine and fabricate precision components according to engineering specifications.Perform in-process and final inspections using micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other precision measuring instruments.Verify finished components meet dimensional and quality requirements.Work independently or alongside Lead Machinists and Toolmakers to complete jobs accurately and on schedule.Support the repair and restoration of damaged steel tooling components to original specifications.Apply knowledge of tooling component fitment and precision tolerances when performing repairs and modifications.Safely operate PIT/forklift equipment, cranes, hoists, and other heavy equipment as required.Maintain a safe, clean, and organized machining environment.Perform additional machining and production duties as assigned.Qualifications5+ years of professional machining experience; journeyman-level experience strongly preferred.Strong experience with both CNC and manual machining equipment.Hands-on experience with mills, lathes, drill presses, and CNC equipment.CNC programming and machine setup experience required.Experience with EDM equipment is highly preferred.Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.Experience using precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators.Strong understanding of machining tolerances, component fitment, and precision manufacturing.Toolroom, tool & die, mold making, fixture, or tooling repair experience is highly desirable.Ability to troubleshoot machining issues and work independently with limited supervision.
