Job Title: Manufacturing Account Manager

 

Position Summary

We are a growing small business seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Account Manger to lead manufacturing programs and handle purchasing responsibilities. In this position, you will oversee the planning and execution of manufacturing while also managing the purchasing of materials, components, and tooling. You will work closely with the operations team to keep programs on schedule, control costs, and support efficient day-to-day manufacturing operations.

 

Core Responsibilities

- Lead manufacturing programs and projects, including new product introductions

- Create and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets.

- Coordinate internal teams (production, engineering/quality, and shop floor) to ensure programs stay on track.

- Identify and resolve issues, bottlenecks, and risks quickly.

- Track progress against goals (schedule, cost) and provide clear updates to leadership.

- Manage purchasing of raw materials, components, tooling, and consumables.

- Source and evaluate vendors; obtain quotes and negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery.

- Create and manage purchase orders; track deliveries and resolve order issues.

- Maintain appropriate inventory levels while controlling costs.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.

- Monitor material costs and identify opportunities for savings without compromising quality or lead times.

- Ensure purchased items meet quality and specification requirements.

- Coordinate shipments along with transportation with our customers and vendors.

 

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).

- 3+ years of combined experience in manufacturing program management and purchasing or materials management, ideally in a small-to-medium manufacturing environment.

- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and purchasing responsibilities.

- Strong organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

- Comfortable working hands-on and wearing multiple hats in a small business setting.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

- Ability to communicate clearly with both shop-floor team members and leadership.

- 45-50 hrs./week

Compensation

• Excellent compensation depending on experience. ($70,000-$100,000 Salary)
