Overnight Engineer | Painter

JOBPURPOSE: To ensure a safe, efficient, well-maintained hotel environment while providing maintenance services to guests in a courteous, professional, and engaging manner. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Maintain all public areas, guest rooms, meetingroomsand corridors on an on-going basis including paint, wallpaper and plastering. Performs preventive maintenance of guest rooms Maintain correct stock/inventory of paint supplies and materials and communicate when replenishment is needed. Aid guests inlocatingother areas of the hotel (walk them to destination if possible). Have a thorough understanding of fire alarm procedures and emergency evacuation. Respond to all requestsfrom guests and associates. Assistengineers and mechanics as needed with repairs. Keep all work areas clean. Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions; complete safety training and certifications. Ensure clean uniform and professional personal appearance; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Performs other duties as needed. QUALIFICATIONS: Previousexperience as a commercial painterrequired,hotel experience preferred. Mustbe able to brush, roll, spray, and work on different textures. Mustbe able to patch,floatand repair damaged surfaces. Must be able to work with stains, lacquers, varnishes,epoxyand Bondo. Mustbe able to apply caulk. Must be willing to work based on business and occupancy levels. Must be able toworka flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime. Mustbe able to interact and communicate with the hotel guests. Move, bend, lift, carry, crawl, squat, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds withoutassistance. Stand,walkor sit for an extended period or for an entire work shift. Must work indoors andoutdoorsincluding during extreme weather conditions. May be asked to be part of “ride-out” crew during severe weather events. Must be able to work using ladders, scissors, and aerial lifts. ENVIRONMENT&POSITION ANALYSIS: Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds withoutassistance. Stand,walkor sit for an extended period or for an entire work shift.Requires repetitive motion, including utilizing telephone/computer for an extended period or for an entire shift.
