Are you dependable, caring, and passionate about providing healthy meals for young children? We're looking for a Senior Cook/Delivery Driver to support the Fisher Early Learning Center's food service program. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys preparing nutritious meals, maintaining high food safety standards, and ensuring children receive fresh, wholesome meals throughout the day.

What You'll Do:

As a Senior Cook/Delivery Driver, you'll be responsible for preparing and delivering breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks for children enrolled in the Fisher Early Learning Center. Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and portioning nutritious meals and snacks according to established menus and dietary guidelines.
• Following all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations during food preparation, storage, and transportation.
• Loading, transporting, and delivering meals, snacks, and supplies safely and efficiently.
• Maintaining accurate food production records, temperature logs, and sanitation documentation.
• Receiving, organizing, and storing food and kitchen supplies.
• Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment, food preparation areas, and delivery vehicles.
• Monitoring inventory levels and communicating supply needs to management.
• Supporting special dietary accommodations and allergy protocols to ensure a safe environment for all children.
• Collaborating with Fisher Early Learning Center staff to ensure meal service runs smoothly and on schedule.
• Providing exceptional customer service while representing the University of Denver and the Fisher Early Learning Center.
• You'll play a vital role in supporting children's health, growth, and development by ensuring they receive fresh, nutritious meals each day.

Schedule: 

• Monday through Friday.
• Daytime schedule aligned with Fisher Early Learning Center operating hours.
• Preparation and delivery of breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks
• No evenings, weekends, or major holidays.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience in food preparation, school nutrition, childcare food service, or commercial kitchens preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to lift and transport food, supplies, and equipment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
• Commitment to providing high-quality service and nutritious meals for children.
