Fitter / Welder - Structural Steel $20/hr to $30/hr Depending On Experience (DOE) Essential duties for our Structural Welder / Fitter team: Work positively within a team environment to ensure quality, efficient and safe production Accurately interpret structural steel drawings Understands steel fabrication with the ability to layout and mark material to be cut, welded, or have additional members added Safely load and unload equipment with material either manually and through the use of an overhead crane or magnet Uses tools of trade effectively (grinders, mag drills, track torch, air arc) Perform daily cleaning of machines and housekeeping of work areas Perform daily preventative maintenance of assigned tools and equipment Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Ability to pass Welder certification test using FCAW and/or GMAW Spray mode transfers in the 3G and/or 4G Position. Minimum of 1-3 years of experience. Proficient with tape measure and measuring instruments. Knows proper use of handheld torch and plasma arc.
