Maintenance Technician

Purpose of Position/Summary:


The purpose of the Maintenance Technician position is to maintain and improve the production equipment. The Maintenance Technician will help reduce downtime by inspecting and repairing production equipment. This position will work closely with Engineering and Production to support line objectives.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
• Major and minor repair of equipment, to include but not limited to: PLC, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, 24vdc discrete I/O and mechanical repairs;
• Drain, clean and filter on parts washers as scheduled;
• Complete any required preventative maintenance and scheduled work;
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, MP2 and etc. is preferred;
• Good documentation skills required;
• Other duties as assigned by immediate Supervisor or Manager on an as needed basis;
• Refer to the most updated applicable skills matrix: must achieve a minimum performance score of 90%.

• Major and minor repair of equipment, to include but not limited to: PLC, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Motor and Motor controls, 480vac, 24vdc discrete I/O and mechanical repairs.
• Drain, clean and change filter parts washers as scheduled
• Complete any required preventative maintenance and scheduled work
• Good documentation skills required
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, MP2 etc. is preferred
• Other duties assigned by immediate Supervisor or Manager on an as needed basis.

Job Requirements:

This position requires a high school diploma or GED required. Minimum of 1-2 years of equivalent work experience.

Good documentation skills required. Must have some mechanical and/or electrical experience. Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, MP2 etc. is preferred. Good communication skills and ability to work well with other departments are required. Must be able to maintain a clean and neat work environment.

Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:

This position does not have any subordinate associates reporting to it.

Difficulty of Work:

The ability to adapt in constantly changing situations is a must. Most tasks will be well defined and routine but can change daily. Use of hand tools will be required to perform some of the tasks. Good documentation of completed work will be required. The ability to manage time effectively and multitask is also important.

Responsibility:

This position is to provide support as needed and complete many tasks with minimal supervision. This position will require routine tasks and preventative maintenance to be completed daily, weekly, and monthly as needed. Special repairs or tasks will be assigned by Maintenance Manager. This position requires the ability to maintain all equipment through preventative maintenance and repair as needed.
