Location: Pontiac, MI (Relocating permanently to Chesterfield, MI in January 2027)

Position Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire

Salary Range: $60,000 $75,000 / year

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Inside Sales Representative to manage internal commercial activities, support our external Sales Representatives, and act as a key cross-functional liaison between Sales, Finance, Production Control, and Quality.

This critical role replaces a departing team member and will directly support expanded business operations following new program awards. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience supporting tier-1 automotive manufacturing, specifically working with powertrain or driveline components and navigating OEM portals.

Key Responsibilities

• Sales Tracking & Reporting: Track, verify, and report weekly, monthly, and annual sales volume against customer Purchase Orders. Create monthly closing statements and support annual sales and booking plans.

• Commercial Data & Price Management: Maintain commercial record changes, including part number tracking, price updates driven by engineering changes, unit price tracking, and price adjustments across customer portals.

• Invoicing & Accounts Receivable: Issue customer invoices, prepare prototype quotes, track prototype sample deliveries/payments, manage AR payment reconciliation, and pursue past-due balances or outstanding tooling payments.

• Debits & Dispute Resolution: Lead internal investigations to reconcile or dispute customer debits and chargebacks effectively.

• Customer Portal & Order Management: Monitor customer supplier portals, track volume releases, and communicate internal operational requirements to Production Control and Quality teams.

• Cross-Functional Liaison: Act as the primary internal contact for the Sales department across Finance, Quality, and Operations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 35 years of Sales Administration / Inside Sales experience within the automotive industry.

• Product Experience: Background in Driveline and/or Powertrain components is strongly preferred to hit the ground running.

• OEM Portal Expertise: Direct experience managing commercial activities with Stellantis (FCA) and/or Volkswagen is highly preferred. Experience with other automotive OEMs will be considered.

• Education: Associate degree in Business, Sales, or a related field (or equivalent relevant industry experience).

• Language Skills: Fluent in English (written and verbal). Fluency in Korean is a strong plus, but not required.

• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word, alongside hands-on experience with Accounts Receivable and customer portal management.

• Key Competencies: High attention to detail, strong multi-tasking capability, self-motivated, and customer-focused.

• Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
