Welder IICadrex is searching for a Welder II to use manual welding skills to manufacture weldments to defined specifications, workmanship standards, and production schedule.Key responsibilities include:Prepare and set up necessary tools and equipment for welding jobsArrange parts for welding and staging processesPerform quality inspection/checks per quality documentation/control plan (including documentation of results)Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the LeadMaintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety proceduresRead and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Write simple correspondenceUphold site efficiency standardsLearn and demonstrate continuous improvement for Safety and Quality standards and proceduresPerform other duties as requested by the LeadAssist in other work areas as assignedUnderstand welding symbols, print tolerances and quality measuring equipmentWork completely independently without supervisionTrouble shoot and resolve issues in assigned work centerProduce quality work at company standard efficiency level for assigned work centerCross trained in multiple workstationsPreferred qualifications include:1+ years in a metal manufacturing setting preferredPass AWS certifications for MIG welding steel and aluminumPossess a basic understanding of welding symbols, print tolerances and quality measuring equipmentMeet or exceed company PPM level standards by consistently producing quality workObtain and maintain weld certifications in two or more welding processes specific to employee's locationAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimalsAbility to read and interpret prints and work ordersAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructionsEducation:High School DiplomaLocation:OnsiteSchedule:M-F; 7:00am - 5:30pmWork environment:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration.
