Now Hiring: TIG Welder
- Reads and interprets engineering drawings.
- Grinds and cuts metal to appropriate sizes.
- Positions parts in fixtures, clamps on work bench and/or floor while using supporting stands to secure the part being worked on.
- Sets up welders in a way that conforms to the company's welding procedure specification and performs diagnostic and basic maintenance to ensure the welding machine is running at optimal performance.
- Examines weld for bead size and other specifications.
- Repairs broken or cracked metal objects, fills holes, and builds up metal parts.
- Lays out, positions, and tack welds workpieces.
- One year certificate from college or technical school; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Welding certification is preferred.
- Ability to become ASME certified during the first few weeks
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
