Litigation Legal Assistant New York NY Job ID: 21583 One of New York City’s leading real estate law firms, is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to support attorneys in its Landlord-Tenant Litigation Department. This position requires substantial experience handling New York residential and commercial landlord-tenant matters, including Housing Court proceedings from inception through resolution. Required Experience Minimum 3 years of direct New York landlord-tenant litigation experience Experience handling residential holdover and nonpayment proceedings Strong knowledge of New York City Housing Court practice and procedure Experience preparing and managing landlord-tenant litigation documents, including: Predicate notices Notices to cure Notices of termination Petitions Warrants Motions Stipulations Experience filing documents through NYSCEF Strong client communication and case-management skills Responsibilities Support attorneys in all phases of residential and commercial landlord-tenant litigation Manage matters from inception through resolution Conduct client interviews and gather documents necessary for case preparation Prepare and electronically file court documents Maintain litigation calendars and monitor deadlines Coordinate service of process and communications with courts and vendors Provide hearing and trial support Manage and organize case files Handle a high-volume caseload while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail Preferred Qualifications Experience with both residential and commercial landlord-tenant matters Experience with iManage or comparable document management systems Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Candidates without direct New York landlord-tenant litigation experience will not be considered. #J-18808-Ljbffr Friedman Williams
