Senior Accounting Analyst

Position Senior Analyst – Accounting & Performance Management (Bilingual Japanese/English) Summary A leading global housing and real estate group is seeking a Senior Analyst in Accounting & Performance Management for its U.S. regional headquarters in North Dallas. This role will oversee monthly/quarterly financial close and performance reporting across portfolios, manage complex real estate accounting issues (JV accounting, equity method, consolidations), and support executive/Tokyo HQ reporting. Essential Duties Performance Management & Accounting: Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance for entity and project levels, reviewing P/L, B/S, cash flows, capital calls, and distributions. Complex Accounting Issues: Handle complex real estate accounting topics including JV accounting, equity method accounting, consolidations, intercompany transactions, and US GAAP/J-GAAP reconciliations. Special Situation & Risk Support: Analyze accounting impacts and track financial figures for complex situations such as defaults, impairments, refinances, and asset revaluations. Headquarters & Executive Reporting: Draft management reporting packages, quarterly forecast presentations, and budget variance analyses for Tokyo HQ and senior executive review. Process Improvement & Controls: Audit Excel-based financial models for data integrity, improve internal control workflows, and support accounting system implementation projects. Working Hours / Working style Standard Business Hours, Full-time / Exempt. On-site / Hybrid (Office in Dallas, TX; working arrangements negotiable). Working Location North Dallas Area, Texas Salary / Benefit $80,000 - $100,000 / year (Depending on experience) Visa sponsorship available / negotiable for qualified candidates. Strong knowledge of financial statements, variance analysis, and accounting principles (US GAAP, J-GAAP, IFRS, equity method, or JV accounting experience/USCPA candidates preferred). Bilingual fluency in Japanese and English (Native/Advanced Japanese for Tokyo HQ reporting; Professional English for local CPAs and auditors). Advanced Excel proficiency for financial tracking/reconciliation and PowerPoint skills for preparing executive report packages.
