Radiology Technologist- Westerville Radiology

The Radiology Technologist is responsible for performing radiologic procedures as ordered by Provider. Schedule Full Time / Benefits Eligible Monday-Friday – 9:30 am-6:00 pm OR Tuesday-Friday – 7:30 am-6:00 pm Westerville, OH Essential Functions and Responsibilities Prepare patients for radiologic procedures. Take x‑rays following established procedures for patient care and safety. Explain procedures to patients and answer questions. Use a variety of radiation protection and shielding materials as well as various media. Ensure equipment is in working order and report malfunctions to appropriate person(s). Process routine paperwork as necessary. Maintain examination rooms, stocks necessary medical and radiologic supplies. Attend required staff and educational meetings. Maintain patient confidentiality. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education, Licensures & Certifications Completion of a course in Radiologic Technology approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Current certification as a Registered Radiologic Technologist. Current Ohio Department of Health Radiology license. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of anatomy and physiology to perform x‑ray testing. Knowledge of radiology equipment. Knowledge of safety hazards common to radiology including equipment, body mechanics and patient movement. Skill in properly positioning patients as well as properly identifying equipment problems. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public. Ability to assist patients on and off exam tables. Ability to apply written guidelines and standardized work practices. Ability to work on a team and display a positive attitude. Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
