Occupational Therapist - Day Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shift, working 5 days a week.

The Occupational Therapist plans, organizes, develops, administers, directs, and supervises OT treatment in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local standards, regulations, and guidelines. This role requires a commitment to patient and employee safety, working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team to ensure quality care.

• Assess patients' level of functioning and develop appropriate treatment plans based on evaluations.
• Participate in discharge planning, including patient and family education and necessary equipment recommendations.
• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and students in the application of OT techniques.
• Maintain compliance with documentation requirements, including daily progress notes and treatment plans.
• Promote safety by adhering to guidelines for patient handling, infectious diseases, and workplace safety.
• Demonstrate effective communication with patients and their families, ensuring their understanding of treatment processes.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in team conferences.
• Manage time effectively while accommodating patient scheduling and conflicts.
• Promote a team-oriented environment, demonstrating a strong customer service attitude at all times.

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• Valid and current state license as an Occupational Therapist.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the field.
