Details Inpatient acute care setting at a large short-term acute care, academic teaching, Level 1 trauma center with 1,259 staffed beds Therapy services provided across a wide range of patient populations including medicine, surgery, orthopedics, neurology, cardiopulmonary, and oncology May be utilized across any therapy service line as needed to meet facility needs Day shift, Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts from 0700–1530 (start time flexible up to 0800) One weekend (Saturday and Sunday) required per 4-week period, with a compensatory day off during that week No on-call requirements No floating to sister facilities Charting performed in Epic; experience required 13-week contract Requirements Minimum 1 year of Level 1 trauma acute care PT experience required Current BLS certification required Valid MO State License required; candidates with a pending IL license may be considered (please note pending status) License required if applicable Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a variety of patient populations Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible Additional Information Primary responsibilities include assessment, documentation, patient and family education, and safety and injury prevention across inpatient acute care areas Black or grey scrubs required No more than 7 days of RTO permitted within the 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation First-time travelers are welcome to apply Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler Allied travelers may work up to 12 months before a required 6-month break in service Monthly parking passes are available on-site; additional parking information provided during orientation American Traveler Job ID #P-724427.
