Finance Manager-Derivative Acctg & Reporting

Opportunity You will be part of MetLife’s Global Finance organization, specifically within the Investments Finance’s Derivatives Accounting and Reporting team based in Tampa, Florida. The team collaborates closely with internal stakeholders in the Investments organization and the Controls, Analysis & Reporting (CAR) organization to uphold MetLife’s reputation for financial integrity and operational excellence. The team is responsible for derivative accounting, reconciliations, data integrity, cash settlement accounting, and US GAAP 10Q/K, US Statutory filings, certain Federal Reserve filings and some Mexico local reporting. Responsibilities Preparation and review of derivative accounting, reconciliations and quarterly and annual US GAAP footnotes. Create efficient reporting processes and documentation that support compliance and audit readiness. Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and external auditors to support timely and accurate reporting. Develop internal controls and procedures to enhance the quality and reliability of accounting and reporting. Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to ensure data integrity and alignment. Required Qualifications Undergraduate degree required in accounting or finance. Demonstrate ability to independently navigate periods of change, analyze complex accounting issues and transactions, and contribute to the implementation of best practices and procedures in collaboration with business partners. Experience working in a highly results‑oriented, performance‑driven environment with a strong focus on accuracy, quality, and continuous improvement. Strong communication and influencing skills. Preferred Qualifications CPA, MBA or other advanced degree a plus. 3+ years of related accounting and/or reporting experience. Demonstrate ability to effectively drive change. Location & Compensation Location expectation: This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office. Expected salary range for this position is $93,200–$124,300. This role may also be eligible for annual short‑term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
