Job Responsibilities
- Perform thorough patient evaluations, including physical assessments and detailed medical history reviews
- Assist in evaluating and diagnosing surgical conditions through analysis of imaging and lab outcomes
- Work collaboratively with surgeons to devise and implement patient-specific surgical strategies
- Provide critical support during surgical procedures, including preparing operating rooms, ensuring correct patient positioning, and passing instruments efficiently
- Deliver exceptional pre-operative and post-operative care, including medication management, wound treatment, discharge planning, and patient education
- Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Experience in clinical rotations with a focus on surgery is strongly preferred
- Valid, unrestricted PA-C certification
- BLS and ACLS certifications are required
- State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant
- Solid understanding of surgical principles and sterile techniques
- Ability to interpret diagnostic tests and engage in complex clinical decision-making
- Superb communication and interpersonal skills
- Capacity to excel in high-pressure situations, especially during surgeries
