Take on a rewarding contract opportunity as an IRR Special Education Teacher supporting a dedicated group of students in a school environment near Harlem, GA. This onsite-only position is full-time, Monday through Friday, starting as soon as possible and extending through late May 2027. You’ll work with a caseload of 15–18 students, collaborating closely with general education staff to provide tailored educational support and ensure successful implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Key qualifications and skills:

• Possess an ACTIVE GaPSC (Georgia Professional Standards Commission) Certification or Georgia General Special Education Certification (or equivalent).
• Prior experience working in school-based special education settings.
• Strong classroom management and documentation abilities.
• Demonstrated history supporting IEP processes and case management.
• Effective collaboration and communication skills with education staff and families.
• Full-time, onsite availability and reliable transportation are required.

Expected responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction and interventions for students assigned to your caseload.
• Foster positive learning environments and manage classroom behavior effectively.
• Partner with general education colleagues to adapt curriculum and instruction.
• Lead and participate in IEP meetings; maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation.
• Track student progress, implement behavioral plans, and communicate with families.
• Uphold compliance with all local, state, and federal education requirements.
