Job Summary We are seeking a Contracts Administrator II for a direct hire opportunity in Oxnard, CA within the aerospace and defense industry. This onsite role is ideal for an experienced contracts professional who enjoys managing complex customer agreements, supporting proposal activity, and partnering with cross-functional teams to protect business interests and drive successful contract performance. The Contracts Administrator II will work closely with Business Development, Finance, Engineering, Quality, and other internal teams in a collaborative setting that values accuracy, accountability, customer focus, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Manage and administer customer contracts from review through execution and ongoing performance monitoring. Interpret medium to large OEM quotes and identify contractual requirements, obligations, risks, and business impacts. Support complex proposals, contract activities, negotiations, amendments, and related customer communications. Serve as a primary point of contact for contract-related matters with internal stakeholders and customers. Prepare, organize, and maintain accurate contract documentation, files, records, and compliance materials. Collaborate with Business Development, Finance, Engineering, Quality, and operations teams to support customer satisfaction, delivery performance, and contractual compliance. Compensation and Benefits Salary range: $80,000 to $120,000 annually. Job type: Direct hire. Schedule: Full-time, onsite. Location: Oxnard, CA. Required Qualifications and Skills Manage customer contracts in an aerospace and defense environment. Support complex proposal and contract activities involving commercial and government agreements. Facilitate contract negotiations and protect company contractual interests. Monitor contract performance, compliance, documentation, and risk. Must meet ITAR requirements. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen. 5 to 7 years of progressive contracts administration experience. Experience negotiating both commercial and government contracts. Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience. Strong understanding of contract terms, proposal support, customer requirements, compliance expectations, and risk identification. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across Business Development, Finance, Engineering, Quality, and other teams. Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple contracts, priorities, and deadlines independently. Customer-focused approach with strong judgment, organization, follow-through, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience in aerospace and defense, manufacturing, government contracting, or a similarly regulated environment. Familiarity with OEM contract requirements, proposal review processes, and cross-functional contract support. Experience contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, process enhancements, or strategic business projects.
