Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular Operating Room

CVOR - RN - Utica, NY

Schedule

• Four 10-hour variable shifts per week
• 13-week contract
• On-call required
• Up to 7 call days per four-week schedule, including one full weekend
• Floating required if census is low

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care for patients undergoing Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, perfusionists, and surgical team members during cardiac surgical procedures
• Monitor and assess patients throughout the perioperative experience
• Prepare operating rooms, equipment, and supplies for cardiovascular surgeries
• Maintain sterile technique and ensure patient safety throughout procedures
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols
• Document patient care accurately in EPIC EMR
• Respond effectively to emergent cardiovascular surgical cases

Requirements

• Active New York State RN License required
• Minimum 1 year of recent CVOR experience required
• American Heart Association (AHA) certifications required:
  
  • BLS
  • ACLS
• Familiarity with:
  
  • EPIC EMR
  • Omnicell
• Experience with(preferred):
  
  • Coronary Artery Disease (CAD)
  • Aortic Stenosis (AS)
  • Mitral Regurgitation (MR)
• Previous travel nursing experience

Pay Package(40hrs/week)

• Total Non-taxable Pay (weekly) $1,246
• Total Taxable Pay (weekly) $1,760
• Gross Total Pay (weekly) $3,006
