NYPCC Health and Wellness Events Job Description New York Psychotherapy and Counseling Center (NYPCC) is seeking aMedicalDirectorto provide clinical leadership and psychiatric oversight across ourArticle31 outpatient mental health clinicslocatedin the Bronx, Bushwick, East New York and Jackson Heights. This role combinesdirect patient care with leadership responsibilities, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based behavioral health services in compliance withthe NewYork State Office of Mental Health (OMH). The MedicalDirector will superviseprescribers, support interdisciplinary care, and collaborate with executive leadership to advance clinical quality and program development. Key Responsibilities: Providemedicaloversight for psychiatric services across outpatientclinics Supervise and mentor psychiatrists and psychiatric nursepractitioners Conduct psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and treatmentplanning Ensure compliance with OMH regulations and clinicalstandards Participate in quality assurance, risk management, and performance improvementinitiatives Monitor prescribing practices and support safe medicationmanagement Collaborate with clinical and administrative leadership on program development and strategicinitiatives Support interdisciplinary care coordination andparticipatein caseconferences Qualifications M.D.from an accreditedmedicalschool Active and unrestricted New York State physician license Board-certificationinChild and AdolescentPsychiatrypreferred ActiveDEA registration Minimum3 years of psychiatric clinical experience, preferably inanoutpatient setting Leadership or supervisory experience in behavioral health settings Experience withOMH Article 31 clinicsand regulatory standards Familiarity withMedicaid/Medicare and value-based care models Experience working withserious mental illnesspopulations Skills: Strong diagnostic and psychopharmacological treatmentexpertise Excellent communication and leadership skills Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinaryteams Commitment to ethical practice, patient safety, and quality care Additional Information Reporting Structure: The MedicalDirector reports to theChief ExecutiveOfficerand Vice President, Chief Clinical Officerand works closely with clinical and program leadership.
