We have six openings available on the 2nd shift in Port Huron. This full-time, long-term position involves manufacturing and producing carpeted products for the automotive industry. Candidates will be responsible for loading and unloading materials and assemblies into the presses, performing inspections, and producing formed and trimmed products.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials and assemblies into the presses.
• Perform inspections of the products.
• Produce formed and trimmed products.
• Handle carpet assemblies weighing 10-15 pounds, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Work overtime and weekends as needed, with consistent six-day workweeks.

Essential Skills

• Experience in manufacturing, inspection, loading, trimming, and unloading.
• Stable work history with at least 1-2 years at jobs.
• Reliable attendance with no late shifts or call-ins.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends.
• Minimum age of 18.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Work Environment

The company operates multiple plants with high production capacity, featuring 8-10 stamping cells with at least 4 presses per cell. Each shift has about 70 production employees, with a focus on tracking numbers and efficiencies. Employees will be standing at a press with a material cart to load and unload the press, inspecting and trimming parts if necessary. Training is provided, with candidates paired with a line leader and top production employee on day one, and expected to learn 2-3 jobs within the first week.

This is a Permanent position based out of New Baltimore, MI.

The pay range for this position is $36400.00 - $37024.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
