Associate Attorney

Our client, a respected law firm specializing in foreclosure and real estate matters, is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its team. This role focuses on title review, title curative work, and non-judicial foreclosure matters. The position may be hybrid or remote depending on experience and location, with occasional in-office training required for remote employees. Candidates must be licensed and in good standing in Alabama and have at least two years of relevant legal experience. Responsibilities Review title examinations, identify title defects, and provide recommendations for resolution. Cure simple and complex title issues in a timely manner. Analyze foreclosure files, loan documents, pleadings, and related legal documentation. Review non-judicial foreclosure documents for accuracy and compliance. Draft, review, and edit legal opinions, reports, correspondence, and foreclosure-related documents. Manage an independent caseload and address file-level legal and compliance matters. Communicate regularly with clients, insurers, vendors, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders. Maintain accurate updates in case management and client systems. Build strong relationships with internal teams and external business partners. Perform additional duties as needed to support client and firm objectives. Requirements Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Active Alabama law license and membership in good standing with the Alabama State Bar. Minimum of two years of experience in real estate law, title review, and title curative matters. Working knowledge of federal, state, and local laws affecting foreclosure and real estate transactions. Familiarity with Alabama Title Standards preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, internet research, and case/document management software. Ability to prioritize, manage multiple deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy. Ideal Candidate Licensed in Alabama, with additional licensure in Georgia, Texas, or Mississippi strongly preferred. Experienced in title clearance, title curative, and foreclosure processes. Self-motivated and capable of independently managing a substantial caseload. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Professional and confident communicator who can effectively interact with clients, courts, vendors, borrowers, and opposing counsel. Team-oriented, adaptable, and committed to delivering exceptional client service. Experienced with client systems such as BKFS, Tempo, or similar platforms is highly preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
